Last night we left our house at 10 pm and went down the Lincoln Post Office to pick up our 150 baby chicks. We are starting a project for the winter that will be good for our boys and family time this winter. We ordered 100 Rhode Island Reds, 25 barred rocks, and 25 white ones. And the whole point of this? We're not sure but we're having lots of fun with it for sure! Hopefully they will start laying by next spring and will be sellable for laying hens and we also are loving farm fresh eggs already from a batch we got earlier. So we have eggs for sale by next spring!
