Mold Continured....

So today I took the boys over to Mom B's and came home and worked with Matt on getting all the stuff out of the boys' room.  The information we've gathered along this mold journey  is that this mold could be toxic. And how to know is expensive so we're just pretending it's the worst kind and trying to clean accordingly.  So far the closet is sealed off with plastic and the intake vent is also sealed off.  We've got the windows open and a fan blowing out.    But onto the emptying of the room!  You should have seen the junk I went through. It's amazing to me that that room contained all that stuff.  So the question keeps coming up....do we throw everything or is it possible to clean it? We've chosen to clean.  I read somewhere that borax cleans laundry of mold and same for furnishing and toys and all that.  So we put everything in plastic bags and trucked it outside.  It was a coolish windy sunny day and we're hoping God's great out ...

Mold

What can any of my friends tell me about mold?  We have an almost three year old who is sick ALL the time with runny nose, coughing lots of guck, circles under the eyes, rash on his face, not eating right and gaggy about things.  We took him to the doctor last week and she looked at him and declared it to be an airborne allergy thing.   So we came home and discoverd MOLD in the boys' bedroom closet ceiling! Now what do we do? The experts tell us that we're kind of up a creek without a paddle.  What has been your experiences.  Do air purifiers help at least a little bit?  What can we do until we can get that stuff ripped out of there?  Any and all advice will please me a lot!

More Mathias...

I finally put the crib up on the day that Mathias turned one month old. Keagan stood on a step stool and looked at him in his crib. He really liked the crib being up and the baby sleeping so nicely in it. It was big stuff that he couldn't wait to tell "Lerrick" and Daddy about. I really just like this picture of him just soaking in all the good stuff in his little life! Mathias Jaymes. One month old and sleeping contentedly for the first time in his real crib. And this picture is kind of sad and sheepish for me. You see, I caved and gave him a bottle this afternoon. He was so contented and full that he is ZONKED. Looks like nursing is on it's way out already. I'm sad. But I feel silly to be sad when he can be this contented if I just give up what everyone tells me about nursing...."mom's milk is best" and all that. Not true for this mommy. So I'd rather see this...I guess.

Two recipes

That I would like to try.  But I need someone to try them on. We're not allowed to eat these types of things right now...We just got another treadmill that works and these recipes would defeat the purpose! :) So you all try them out and tell me what you think.    Chocolate-Espresso Chiffon  Cake  Makes: 14 servings Prep: 65 minutes Bake: 60 minutes 8 eggs 4 tsp. espresso powder or instant coffee crystals 3/4 cup water 2 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 cups sugar 1 Tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/2 cup cooking oil 1 tsp. vanilla 3 oz. bittersweet chocolate, grated 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 recipe Espresso Whipped Cream Directions 1.
