My Conclusion

After studying Hezekiah for two Sundays.   Hezekiah gets painted as a bad guy.  I've finally figured out why. (my opinions only here)  He became king at 26 or so and he turned the nation of Israel totally around.   He said he was going do all those good things in order to turn the wrath of God away from his nation.   And it worked. Because God keeps his promises.       God made a covenant with the nation of Israel earlier, that  if they would keep his commandments and ect. He would  do good for them  and long life and a number of promises.  Hezekiah knew that and decided to make good on that deal.   So Hezekiah walked perfectly and kept all of God's commandments.       And then he got sick. And Isaiah was the prophet who told him he wasn't going to make it. So Hezekiah reminded God of how he had walked perfectly and God said okay then I won't let you die I'll give you 15 more years but I'm doing this becau...

I got to wander outside today and collect me some joy!

Busy day

We had a full day if taking our baby girl to Bryan to get tubes in her ears and her adenoids removed.  She did really well and has been into everything all day.  Obviously not really comfortable.   Thankful to have this over with and she's safely tucked into bed and its only 9pm.  Goodnight!

This is amazingness.   That's not a word in real life.  But its a word in my life.   Anyhow,  this is to document that I cleaned the laundry room.  Now I need to do the painting and redecorating and shelving projects I want done in here while its still emptied out.  Ya well.  Let's just be happy with baby steps yes?

I was  talking on fb with one of my cousins about Bread making.  She is a granola much more than I am  so I feel funny sharing my knowledge of bread with her. BUT she has my old friend Mr. Hobart in her home and so bread making has been taken to an all new level with her and I!  Long long ago when I was young and energetic I tried my hand at a little bakery business. It was a nice little successful business.  But I got tired of being tied down and I wanted to do other things with my life.  So my dear pa-pa sold all the equipment off to relatives and I don't know who all.  My Aunt and Uncle got the Hobart.  I've always been glad they wanted it. It was such a good friend.  I love kitchen stuff and especially commercial pieces.  Baking is a therapy for me. So anyhow, my dear cousin Heather (whom I have actually not even spent much real life time with and would have to say I don't really "know" her except blood is thick so I "know" her) now...

Trying our hand at qwirkle.

Fall day

Sitting on the back deck eating roasted cauliflower and watching my little lady with her love of purses.  She's definitely at the end if a line of boys, wearing out that black jacket.

Thankful

She wakes up and sits and eats Reese's puffs and throws them on the floor and smiles her mischievous smile.   I love her!

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. Psalms 73:26 All nighters with small one takes it out of me.   Today will be moment by moment   God is the strength of my heart.

It's Monday

I'm saying It's Monday in a nice way!  Not in a horror stricken way.  :)  The sun is brilliant.  The air is crisp.  The robins all came back last week and they're playing in the cold sprinkler water. They are what being joyful really looks like!  It makes my heart happy.      Somewhere in the last month I got overwhelmed and swamped with life and now am so behind in my housework.  Today is my day.  Zerrick is having a field trip day/ school day on the job with his Dad.  And Keagan can afford a day off of school work.  So today is my day!  I am pulling out my bulldozer and watch out world!  Cheri is here today and tomorrow.  She's going to sleep in and just veg and clear her mind for her next set of study at Hesston.          My mind has been cobwebby too.  So I started thinking about why?  I don't know for sure but I have a small pile of friends right ...

This yellow relic gets to go to the dump.....and we get this awesomeness in our  kitchen!   This makes me very happy!  Dishwasher will be fixed next Tuesday but with this sink I can be fine without the dishwasher for longer.

Happy Birthday Mathias

My feeble attempts at a monster truck cake.    He was pleased and it was easy so all is good.  My littlest baby boy turned 5 yesterday!  He still likes to give me hugs and scrunch his way into our bed on Saturday Mornings though.  I'm trying to hang on to these moments as much as possible.  They're going so fast.  Right now he's a patched up piece of work.  He had an accident with the playground set and gashed his forehead.  And then a few days later he got a brick dropped onto his foot and now has a gash on his foot.  So every night is bandaging time.  But he's full of energy and lots of funny sense of humor anyhow.  He celebrated hard all day yesterday and smiles to himself and tells me he's five with wonder in his voice.  It's a pretty big deal.  So we made a pretty big deal about it too!  He's our healer in our family and brings us so much joy.  Add caption a lighted pancake just for f...
