A few things to be Thankful for

A cozy wood stove. The funny foggy weather. The boys that get to go out and help cut wood. The one boy who "plashes" water all over the kitchen as he helped me do dishes. A warm cozy dry basement to dry things in because my dryer isn't working. Grandparent near by to come play checkers with the boys when our spirits are dragging. The chance to talk about gluten free options and other important things with a few good souls. Hearing that someone is giving us a chance to try a new grinder for rice and the like for learning to bake gluten free. Humbled.  And very thankful.  A good mop to mop up ALL THIS MUD!!! Friends and Family.   The clean smell of laundry and wood smoke and coffee. And the good latte I made for myself this evening.     Thanks all of you for caring and praying.  I know you're out there.....  Thank you!

Wisconsin weekend....

Games of course Trains. Calvin and Hobbs.....  This train was his size...he loved it. The almost twins.  They got a long very well I thought.  They had to establish their boundaries now and then but it was fun to watch.  Listening to something.  Brad got some nice practice in doing things below his dignity.   This is just to prove a good picture of Matt and I can't be taken....or something.   I look like my  Aunts.....hmmm.... Keagan sat here watching him play angry birds for a nice long time.... The rat is just a toy.  Asher is about the happiest baby ever. I was enjoying some of Arla's  brown stuff.  When I get big I'm going to have a crock of brown wooden spoons and big tall salt and pepper sets.   Look! A picture of us five girls!  I really like this cozy corner.   Arla and I got to sit by the fire place and talk for two hours without interrupti...

Health and Complexities

There is a big pile of of work in this house to get caught up on.  The kids are tucked in for naps and the other wild child is down at his desk finishing his school work.  So the work will pile up a little longer, as I have ten minutes of quiet to write.     We've been sick so much this winter.  As has every one else.  But especially our Keagan has been sick.  He has been so white and circles under his eyes and poor digestion for so long. We finally had him to see our  family doctor last week and she ordered some celiac blood work to be done.  The results from that have been confusing. I wish for a doctor to nicely tell us what they mean and not this hedging stuff and shipping us off to a specialist in 6 weeks.  6 weeks is a long time when your five year old is in pain and generally not feeling well.  I got her to tell me the name of the one test that came back positive  and I have been learning.  But I have suc...

More catch up....

One school morning we decided to have art class. They love painting..... Later on when we were back to the books Mathias decided to give Z rats. He was saying, "got you" and "eat you" ..... He's making eating sounds.....Zerrick looks helpless.  Our most used door during our first blizzard.   Lovely snow.  There wasn't really this much snow but the wind blew it up nicely like  this!  We hand cranked ice cream during that blizzard.  Matt was gone for two nights and two complete days.  I have a better feeling for Ma in the Laura Ingalls stories...... Christmas Day.  Playing Catan Junior  Keagan's game....Busytown.  Christmas Day. Keagan's  birthday!  Our latest LARGE bean bag. The boys helping with the flooring. My early birthday gift!  I'm feeling rich!
