And life keeps on....

Keagan loves working on his little projects during school hours.  This spider was one of the next things in line to do....nasty time of year for making spiders.  But it turned out rather fun anyhow.  He was in awe of that birthday candle.  And didn't know how to blow it out...but after Keagan showed him how it was done.... ....He gave his best blow!  And now if he sees steam or smoke he's blowing and talking all about it.   Grandma gave him two wonderful books that he really likes And a little car thing he drives around here from us.    Ice cream making.  Keagan and Mathias were in awe of it.  We're getting more and more evenings where we can do important things with the kids.  I love that. Mathias is intrigued.  Keagan is enthralled.  Zerrick is cranking and Matt is holding it still.  We're done with Market.  We're done with Harvest. And we're wi...

Extended Family Pictures

These first two are modern day Norman Rockwell moments.... My smile of the day! :) The three year olds. Keagan is most impressed that Jamin is so good. Kendra can't figure out what the cheese is all about. "He just gives me a stomach ache..." Keagan: This is fun! Gwen: Are we done yet? I like these three. Waiting. Cold. Notice the new roof and siding on the house! Looks nice.

A Quote

" He that rises late must trot all day."   I laughed when I read that.  So that's why I'm trotting all the time! :) But I sure wouldn't trade my late morning of sleep that I had today!  I got to sleep deeply until 8:30!   I feel like a different person!  I think I needed that sleep.   And then there is this one...."Whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well."  I've been trying to teach myself and my sons this.... Have a good day!!!

Happy Birthday Dear Mathias!

A year ago today.  Wow!  A year ago Matt and I were in Seward in the birthing room...chatting with the nurses and wishing we would have had more sleep.  He was born about 10:45am....And we were still visiting at 9 am.  So he came to us without a by your leave...with much speed.  And he hasn't slowed down a bit.  I was looking back for baby baby pictures and I am realizing that he never was baby baby...always my big chunky happy baby.   He's one today!  And he's precious to us....He's our gift from God.  He walks and runs everywhere with his tummy sticking right out there.  He makes tractor noises like a pro.  He knows when the door is open and he's flyin' trying to get out before his chance is gone.  He is deeply offended when Matt is outside working on the mower or four wheeler without him.  He's smart and amazing and doesn't sleep.  Last night he sat in his crib and talked to himself for about ...

Fall Sunday

Clark took these pictures and let me have them on my computer before he left. Thanks Clark. I only am using ones that show me and mine.... he took lots of lovely pictures. Gabe and Jenny had a "fine dining" meal served outside in their picnic area. I think it was one of the sweetest most amazing outdoor eating events I have ever experienced. Grilled steaks, Mashed Potatoes, corn, flaky biscuits with peach stone jelly, salad and amazing apple dumplings for dessert. All served at the table with real plates and table cloth. It was amazing...fine dining at it's best. Later on that afternoon Clark looked over at Matt and said, " You know, I'm still thinking about that amazing steak we had for lunch." And Matt was in total agreement. It was quite a success and very special. Thanks Gabes. Afterward, we played with the kiddios and chitter chattered and went home for naps. Then later in the evening Gabes came down to our house, so we had a nice day and time w...
