School Days

And  so it has begun again.  This year we hopefully can be a little more on top of things as we aren't moving into a new house or remodeling.  Our baby coming in November might give us a little new excitement but it will be good excitement. Zerrick is doing Abeka Academy DVD 5th grade this year.  So far so good.   Keagan is doing a mixture of books but basically learning sounds and letters and adding  and  counting. He likes it.  This child is learning things like potty training and no means no.  don't they look industrious?  Don't let the picture fool you1  Keagan's first full senctence he wrote himself.   Zerrick telling Keagan  something..... something about his sentence he wrote I think.  He's totally into whatever he's  doing.  The world revolves around him. So that was  a few pics of our day.     Life is good with lots to be thankful for.  Tod...

Idaho Trip People Pictures

My Parents in their back yard . Taking a walk about the yard with hornet wasp killer in hand.  Their yard was full of bees.  House and Camper we stayed in. Sharon and Shilah took us huckleberry  picking one day.  Keagan was my best picker of huckleberries and  even pick some Indian paintbrush for me. Two pretty little girls who picked with us. A bunch of us got tired of picking but Sam couldn't quit....so she brought a load bush with her.  :)  Afterward we went down to Meadow creek and some of the guys fished while the kids played in the water. Zerrick with his cousin who looks much like him.  They're a year apart I think.  this is the evening they played Indians like real Indians.   I observe here that girls  don't  actually play any less tough than boys.  Although my boys were accountable for the scratched faces and damaged glasses.  Sorry everyone!  Pr...

We took a summer trip to Idaho and then through Yellowstone on the way home.  It was the perfect time for the fun stuff of Idaho, like fishing mountain lakes and picking huckleberries.  We had a lovely time.  Some time I'll post people pics....when I have time.      But for now, these are the times I wish I were a photographer: Mom's flower beds Hornet nest at the back of my parents place. More of Mom's flower beds. Indian paintbrush  hard earned huckleberries.  In case they seem not very important I must tell you these things are snatched up at 30 dollars a gallon!  I call them an Idaho delicacy.  But it was fun picking them..... Idaho Mountain picnic.  My feelings of disgust over the most horrible road up to that  meadow had almost subsided by then A most coveted trout .  This guy tasted most amazing off of Matt's grill that night.  The coveted berry again.  ...
