Life in Nebraska ....

  ~We're all going down to Market to finish out the selling process.  Dad and Mom B are selling right now        but need to leave for Indiana. ~I'm trying to think what is the best way to get my boys to hear my voice. ~I have laundry out my ears...and baskets. ~I would like to see little Amy...she's been here almost a week and I STILL haven't seen her. ~I wish the bakery would clean itself. ~I'm happy to be past the first week of school.  It's beginning to settle in.       There are a few things we'll have to work on .... ~The sun is shining beautifully and I have a nice bouquet of picked flowers in here. ~Mathias is working on his 4th tooth....it looks like a LONG journey till I get to sleep all night. ~And this week Mathias is officially walking!  He'll be 11 months on the 7th of Oct.  So walking @ 10 1/2     months....Where did my baby go???? ~I'm just singing One Day at a ...

Here is the recipe you were looking for at my house, Dena. Cook together for 1 hr: 2 1/2 Gallon tomato juice 3-10 onions 4 green peppers 2T. crushed red pepper Strain through Victoria Strainer. Return to kettle and add: 1 Scant pint oil 2 T. basil 1 Cup sugar 1/2 gallon tomato paste 2T. oregano 1T. Italian seasoning 2T. Parsley 1/2 C salt 6 bay leaves 3 T. pizza seasoning Cook together for 1 hr. Thicken to taste. Cold pack for 10 minutes. Makes approx. 12 Quart. So this year I'm going to try a few different ideas with this.  April was telling me how she does her garlic in oil and then adds her diced tomatoes and basil and lets it simmer.  This year I'm going to put in lots of garlic and do it in the oil like that first.  Also I'm going to lessen some of that sugar and salt.  And then simmer things till it's thick....maybe skip the paste?  Also...my peppers are going to be Anaheim and jalapeno.!!!  Won't this be fun!  :) ...

I'm so cute....never mind the booger nose... preaching pose...tellin' the world.... All worn out...can we stop taking pictures now mom?  He's almost walking and he talks to me in all tones of voices.  He's a brave, smart,  happy little soul.   I just thought it was time I bragged on him again.  10 months old. 

Tonight my precious baby fell and got a big ouchy on his head. This poor mommy is crying and feels horrible. He's acting fine like nothing happened but please pray he is fine. He's getting so big so fast. I love him so much....

I've been thinking about prayer. There is so  much I don't know about it. I wonder is prayer more effective when it is spoken out loud? Is God hearing my prayers when it seems all the answers are no? Does prayer really make the thing better or does it just help to have that outlet? I know I'm sounding pessimistic. Sometimes in the night when I've spent hours up with the boys I get to wondering these things.   Does it make a difference to God about WHO'S doing the praying?  Because sometimes it seems like Matt has a special hearing with God that moves things.. ..Does the amount of trust and faith make a difference?  If so can trust and faith be built or does experience bring those things?   Someone said not too long ago that we Americans are too casual in our relationship to God.  Does that include our prayer life too?  Is prayer a state of being or a state of doing?  Do you ever NOT pray about something because you're scared of the turn o...

~ My boys didn't have colds and runny noses and general grumps. ~ My husband wasn't getting the same thing. ~My house was in tip top shape. ~Supper was made and done for the day. ~ Mathias could talk and SAY what is bugging him. ~Blogger wouldn't be so weird lately and that all my friends could comment on my posts. ~That I was outside sitting in that wonderful crisper air that came around the last two days. ~That I could sleep a whole night through...even 4 hrs straight would be GREAT. Now I need to say what I'm thankful for too.   ~I got a dress sewn today! ~ The sun shone and the air was breathable. ~My Laundry got done. ~My boys are all developing normally and precious and naughty. ~ I live in a free country and I can say Praise the Lord out loud!   See you all later.... I'm back to tell you....I got to sleep at least 4 hrs straight!!!  After being awake with the two youngest for about two hours.  But I've had my coffee this morning and my Bible reading...

   All the household is asleep and the only sound is the dryer. This is good.  I will go to sleep soon too...but only to be woke up about 6 times before 6am.  Not sure why I even try to sleep.     Matt has been pointing out to me that I've been blessed anyhow.  With good health.  Even without sleep.  I have to agree.  I give God all the credit....I think back to that anointing about 5 years ago and it seems like God has given me health and strength as I've needed it along the way.  I wonder if He gets more glory this way than if He would have performed a miracle of the type where I was in perfect health instantly.  I wonder.  Either way He gets the glory and I'm thankful I am healthy.      But I'm still tired....I BEG God every night to PLEASE help my boys to sleep all night and to be calm or to feel good and for God's protection and peace and ...... So God still wants something more out of me in...
