All the household is asleep and the only sound is the dryer. This is good. I will go to sleep soon too...but only to be woke up about 6 times before 6am. Not sure why I even try to sleep.
Matt has been pointing out to me that I've been blessed anyhow. With good health. Even without sleep. I have to agree. I give God all the credit....I think back to that anointing about 5 years ago and it seems like God has given me health and strength as I've needed it along the way. I wonder if He gets more glory this way than if He would have performed a miracle of the type where I was in perfect health instantly. I wonder. Either way He gets the glory and I'm thankful I am healthy.
But I'm still tired....I BEG God every night to PLEASE help my boys to sleep all night and to be calm or to feel good and for God's protection and peace and ...... So God still wants something more out of me in this area I guess.
This afternoon I dropped my two oldest off to play with Leighton and I got to go to Lincoln with Matt. He had two business calls and while he was meeting with his customers I got to do my shopping. My first and favorite stop was Barnes and Nobles. What a fun place. The smell of coffee and books and the blessed AC! I walked through the religious fiction area and picked up the book by the Trip guy about sheparding my childs heart...and put it back down. Surely someone will borrow me theirs....I wanted to spend my money on other things. But there was a nice comfy chair in that section and a lady about my age was reading her Bible and had her notebook there and was studying away. Jealous comes to my mind. I know, why should such a godly thing to be doing bring such evil feelings to me!? :) So anyhow, maybe someday there will be more chances for that in my life.
So at the bookstore....I ended up in the school section of course. We're homeschooling. The decision has been made and the books are basically ordered. So I found all kinds of fun things to buy. I only bought some of the fun things to buy. But I am getting more excited all the time. I want to show that boy of mine that school and learning is too fun. He's in a horrible slump from too much push and forcing on my part and too much goal pushing and missing concepts too. So, we're taking a step back and refocusing and we're going to relay some good foundation and hopefully...hopefully things start to look up. Math is are biggest hurdle...but we can do this....oh yes we can!
I'm not the kind of mom that feels as though I am the only one who can teach my child and that I must keep him in this closed in box. I really do WANT him to have some other interaction too. But our options are limited for this school year. What kinds of other activities can I get involved in to get my boys out there and doing socially? Ideas?
There are a host of good things to be learned from others. I read a quote this week:

Next subject. Another thing I heard lately that I've been rolling around. A women that is always out there ordering things around and being in control, has fear in her life. I think they were talking in a marriage relationship. So perfect love cast out fear...and fear has torment because the love of God isn't complete in their life....... So how is the Love of God complete in my life lived out?.... Just a jumble of thoughts there. Advice and input would be nice....:)
