Life in Nebraska ....

 

                                     This post is for me.  I took these pics off my phone and wanted to see the progress steps we've taken so far.  Things are speeding along nicely.  Electric is just about completed.  Plumbing almost done.  Heating and Air will be done with in two weeks.  Painting is starting soon.  The roof is half reshingled...will be done possibly by tonight or tomorrow night.  We're feeling blessed and people have been very helpful.  The last two pictures were the other night when Matt was shingling the roof.  Great Grandpa stopped by to show the kids the little rabbits he found in his flower bed....they loved it.

We think and talk about house improvements daily here.  Actually hourly.  The thing I'm discussing with myself right now is paint.  I dislike painting very much. And so does my man.  But I have a lot of people who have asked when I'm going to be painting and working at the house.  I'm taking that to mean they want to help?  I hope so.  The problem I'm having is, I know what I want it to look like when I'm done, but I don't know that the house is capable of looking like it does in my mind for real.  I know it's just paint and I can just  REpaint if I need to.  But that just sound so discouraging.  REpaint?  Oh dear.    So here are my wishes and desires. (You guys tell me if I can make it happen.)   I get very dark in the winter.  So my goal is to paint and decorate so it's cheerful and bright ALL year long.  That's the plan.     Matt says the walls have to be WHITE!  I am in pain with th...

.....For supper for your family on an evening when you have to go away? ....When your kids won't take naps but you want one badly? ....When it's VERY hot outside and the yard and garden and animals are baking away? ....When there are many closet and corner spaces that have to be dug out for moving and only you know what to do with the "stuff"?   ....When you miss your sisters and mom and wish for a long uninterrupted chat with them? ....when you missed your morning Bible reading and it's still nagging back there in the back of your mind...that the day didn't start right?  .... When you miss your man and wish you could make it easier for him? I suppose there are more?  Mostly you get to work and get life movin' anyhow!   But send me ideas for supper please! 

So I took lots of pictures this morning.  We were up and out of here at 7:15 this morning so we could watch the house go down the road.  It actually happened and we have a house over there!  Reality is fun today....:) Yesterday we stopped by to watch...This was just when they  were getting it up and  ready to move off the foundation. The guys who did the job for us.....He claims he could move the house so smoothly and level that a glass of water on the counter during the drive would still be there when he arrived at his destination.....  He looked like he knew what he was doing. This morning about 7:45....   Monkey on the roof took care of the branch. Coming up over the interstate.  It didn't even fall over.  There was another branch hold up here.....
