Life in Nebraska ....

     I'm having my first coffee today and writing food prep lists for our upcoming mini reunion next week.  Pandora is blaring out of my Bluetooth speaker on my counter.  The laundry is still slouched there on the couch needing folded.  But the dishes!  They're almost caught up and supper is underway.       School isn't getting finished today for Keagan.  He's in a slump.  Circles under his eyes....runny nose.          My head hurts from so much thinking.  I conclude that this world is old.  This world is full to the brim with controversy...... Even so come Lord Jesus.          But my God gives me spots of Joy.  Jeanie has been singing and bouncing all over the place and makes laugh!  My twelve year old with his expanding mind and growing experience gives me joy. 

I've been playing this morning.  It's therapy to make comfort food just for fun.  This morning it was zucchini muffins and beef soup.         Matt carefully got himself off to work this morning without waking anyone up and we all slept till 9.  It was a much needed sleep in,  because the three littles all have colds. I was up so many times last night because of Jeanie..  So thankful today for a kind husband too.        

Happy birthday to my baby girl!  She is my sunshine.

After studying Hezekiah for two Sundays.   Hezekiah gets painted as a bad guy.  I've finally figured out why. (my opinions only here)  He became king at 26 or so and he turned the nation of Israel totally around.   He said he was going do all those good things in order to turn the wrath of God away from his nation.   And it worked. Because God keeps his promises.       God made a covenant with the nation of Israel earlier, that  if they would keep his commandments and ect. He would  do good for them  and long life and a number of promises.  Hezekiah knew that and decided to make good on that deal.   So Hezekiah walked perfectly and kept all of God's commandments.       And then he got sick. And Isaiah was the prophet who told him he wasn't going to make it. So Hezekiah reminded God of how he had walked perfectly and God said okay then I won't let you die I'll give you 15 more years but I'm doing this becau...

I got to wander outside today and collect me some joy! 

We had a full day if taking our baby girl to Bryan to get tubes in her ears and her adenoids removed.  She did really well and has been into everything all day.  Obviously not really comfortable.   Thankful to have this over with and she's safely tucked into bed and its only 9pm.  Goodnight! 

This is amazingness.   That's not a word in real life.  But its a word in my life.   Anyhow,  this is to document that I cleaned the laundry room.  Now I need to do the painting and redecorating and shelving projects I want done in here while its still emptied out.  Ya well.  Let's just be happy with baby steps yes?
