October So Far....

Harvest started.  Yep...can't deny it's fall now. A Sunday morning on our seven acres. Z is back in glasses for studying.....  not sure he really needs them or that they're going to help that much....but we'll see.  Two weeks ago he was at a youth party playing football and got his foot caught under him some how and and ended up breaking his bone at the growth plate.  So he now has two screws in and is hobbling about on crutches.  It's been a not so fun experience but we're on the road to recovery!  Feeling sleepy still but he gave me a thumbs up.  On the way home!  He slept a lot last week.  These cousins came over and kept him from thinking about his problems for a while.  And games in the evening too seem to help.   He got Tons of Candy..... Huge sunshine box.  Mathias turned seven!   He says it was his favorite birthday yet!   ...

September was full of finishing up summer.  But I couldn't convince myself to be done with summer this year.  The flowers were especially beautiful and the days were lovely!  Already I'm mourning the loss of beautiful bouquets on my dining table.  Sunday afternoon ride.   My three cowboys.  Show off.  This is her spot.  She knows this one is hers!  We were lounging on the hammocks and these guys came to see us... Ah baby..... Forty year old me with my goofus.  We spent the weekend away in North Platte, Nebraska.  On the way there we visited the Kearney Archway Museum.   Green grass and big Nebraska sky.... Bumper boats in North platte after Go carting.  At the little Fort Cody rest stop.  Labor Day was spent with the Burkey clan at the Rock Creek Station Museum.  A good fun day.  Fall harves...
