Christmas Vacation

And I am loving it!   It is wonderful to wake up slow and enjoy my coffee and be unscheduled.   Just for two weeks.   I'll be okay with schedule again after this.   But the things that can get done when the kids don't need to be  in the school room and the big one off to school.   So far I've learned how to do one new thing and  did another hated project and got to spend an hour in our Christmas snow.   And drank coffee.   And......    I still want to read a whole book through before vacation ends and go through our wardrobes and deep clean.   Most of all I've been able to take time for things that I don't ususally.   It feels SO good.  About the New Year.  I wonder if there is a way to really breathe and take in all the moments. Like slow life down enough. Maybe maintain our bubble to keep it less hectic in our spirits. ...

What we've been up to

These pictures are completely backward.   My baby girl turned four last week and now gets to go to Sunday School.  Here she is all dressed in her perfect little Mennonite little girl stuff and ready to start the whole Sunday school adventure!  I was never going to allow cats in the house.  Hehe!  Not sure who I thought I was!   Finally got that permit renewed....boot is off the broken leg and we can get back to regular programming with this one!  Thank God for forgiving four year olds who think any birthday cake is good enough!   Big brother overseeing the whole birthday gift thing..... Most spoiled baby doll ever!   She had so much fun on her birthday day......what could be better than cousins to fight and play with all day long?! Nebraska sky.   Jeanie and I flew to Idaho the end of October.  Here we are eating and getting ready for our fl...

October So Far....

Harvest started.  Yep...can't deny it's fall now. A Sunday morning on our seven acres. Z is back in glasses for studying.....  not sure he really needs them or that they're going to help that much....but we'll see.  Two weeks ago he was at a youth party playing football and got his foot caught under him some how and and ended up breaking his bone at the growth plate.  So he now has two screws in and is hobbling about on crutches.  It's been a not so fun experience but we're on the road to recovery!  Feeling sleepy still but he gave me a thumbs up.  On the way home!  He slept a lot last week.  These cousins came over and kept him from thinking about his problems for a while.  And games in the evening too seem to help.   He got Tons of Candy..... Huge sunshine box.  Mathias turned seven!   He says it was his favorite birthday yet!   ...
