We celebrated nine years together Wednesday. I can't believe I didn't even take a picture. Except I can believe it because I don't really like pictures of me right now. I envision being all thin again and not a bit tired for our tenth anniversary! One should have goals right?
Matt planned a very nice afternoon and evening for us. He asked Mom B to watch the boys and we spent the afternoon checking out a chimney needing caulked and then we enjoyed a couple nice antique stores. We found a really neat item that we left there. But I'm dreaming about it for someday when I can figure out where to put it. http://www.oldcoffeegrinders.com/images/4035ArcadeCrystalNo.3AA.jpg Go check it out! I think it's pretty cool!
And after that we went to J's steak house. A NON chain restaurant, restaurant. Real candle light and real glasses and real napkins. And a little corner for us. Wonderful service. And delicious steak kabobs for a starving pregnant me!
And the drive to and from was 1 1/2 hrs both ways! Imagine time to dicuss things of life w/out big ears listening in or this...."Mom, Mom, MOM ARE YOU LISTENING???!!!"
When we got back to the folks, Mom B had made fresh apple pie and there was fresh coffee and the boys had, had a good time and we had a nice visit w/ them too! Such nice moments we have if we just remember to notice them!
Today is our day to catch up on Laundry and math for Zerrick and food for the weekend. Tomorrow I've decided to spend my day w/ Matt and the boys...They're going to a bird sale...hopefully to sell some of our many laying eggs chickens. So I'm going along. It'll be fun for Keagan to see all the fun stuff. He'll be pointing and saying, "Look at it" Look at it." quite a bit I"m sure.
And one more thing that I've been pondering....Do I live my life out of a redeemed and forgiven and joy of salvation perspective or do I stay down in the muck of regret and sorrow that leads to death? I want to practice living out the JOY of my salvation! My boys need to see more joy and thankfulness from there mother and I need it for my self. Reminder to me....
