Things to Know

  • Sometimes we don't know it's a test till it's over....
  • Houses don't organize or clean themselves
  • Homes are more important than houses.
  • Sugar makes one feel really sluggish
  • Boys have this something inside of them that drives them to ALWAYS tear apart or build.
  • Boys also MUST move....a lot.  Learning to sit still and be quiet is a GREAT test.
  • Moms can't get sick nor tired....and if they do, they can't.
  • Spring time shouldn't happen in January.
  • The theory that our kids will speak and act how they see us act isn't true. They're not allowed.
  • I do wonder if I talked sweetsweet all the time if they would.  I doubt it.  The Human nature is still alive.
  • What does living in the Spirit really look like?  I'm pretty sure it's not having all my ducks in a row, but neither is it having them swimming in all different directions.  Poor ducks.
  • I can't find my scissors.  That's why I don't sew.
  • I AM tired.....even if I can't be.
  • We got all the way through December without getting sick!  And we're almost half way through January without being sick!!!!!!  Is that amazing or WHAT?
  • Matt and I went on a date last week.  How strange is that?!  We went to the  perfect restaurant for atmosphere but I can make better food.
  • Friends are good to have......It would be nice to spend time with them.
  • And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

I LOVE your list of things to know! You are brilliant! I was nodding and smiling....and chuckling. Chuckling sounds so old. Maybe I should say giggling since I am not old yet.
I'm glad you had a date - I know you both deserved it! We just had one too, with a third wheel, Gianna. Actually, the whole reason for the date was her and her accomplishment of learning her list of ABC Bible verses, and we all enjoyed it very much. :-) Yes, wouldn't it be nice to spend more time with friends? :)

Like the list too...that last verse has been a favorite of mine for many years! Oh, and even if you can make better food...I always love the break from responsibility, and it gets better as the ones left behind can take care of themselves!! :-) Better days ahead!! :-)

Happy Birthday Keagan

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Had to have his little hand on that hat! gazing in adoration at it. Just about ready to blow those candles. He kept telling me that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday though. He's easily embarrassed! Silly guy! I rather like my little three year.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness  Forgiveness has bones It has a brain It uses logic  And common sense  Forgiveness goes about Finding a common ground. It shows up in common places. It happens unsuspected. Forgiveness allows one to Name the thing that happened. Forgiveness gives one a way To see it for what it was. Forgiveness provides for the  Empty spaces in conversation  And allows one to listen  And grieve outside of one’s own experience. Forgiveness walks into a situation  And remembers. But walks with peace And knows calmness. Forgiveness has an earpiece  On the heart  And a microphone  At his mouth Saying the words that Forgiveness has given him. Forgiveness doesn’t walk with fear. Forgiveness looks alone. But He’s always always  Hand in hand with gentleness and kindness. Forgiveness can stand alone though. It doesn’t melt away or dissipate  With time. Forgiveness is that little happy wren  On your shoulder  Forgiveness sings...

Let me tell you how God answers prayer

Did I ever write on here that I am teaching school at our little church school?  I absolutely love it and find that it's been a neat way to feel useful and invest in our bubble.  But I am requiring my kids to tell stories and write them and read them.  And right now they are in a four week story writing assignment and I began to wonder what I thought I was doing requiring something of them that I am not really proficient at nor am I very knowledgable about.       So for my story to write  let me tell you a little bit about how God answers prayer.  Sometime I feel like I should write Jeanie's whole story.  But not this time.             Jeanie's been having focal seizures.  We don't know when they started.  All we know is that we were advised to go get her growing pain/ leg cramps looked into and it started the beginning of many tests of which we still aren't done with....
