Phone Picture Dump and Mathias' 4th!

After quitting Market baking this kind of baking day deserved a picture  I guess.

Our summer was so full of evenings of work and no play.  One evening Matt was working till dark and enough was enough....we went out and had a campfire anyhow.

flashlights always help to decide if the marshmallow is burned to a crisp yet or not....

One beautiful summer morning.  Zerrick is my dog whisperer.....

A water fight with the rain coming out the gutter.  It was a fantastic rain....

School.....Our chain is helping us count the days down.  I think we're down to day 34 or so....

He was dancing on the car.  Since this is bad I took the picture through the window!

One Sunday when we were all trying to conquer a fever and colds...

Dr. Mathias checking his unwilling patient.....This is what they do during school hours.

Keagan in his office.....in typical standing fashion.  Someone tell me....why can't six year olds just sit down and stay there?

Zerrick in his office...

Studying

Dr. Mathias again...

Laundry Room bathes.

This is how Jeanie falls to sleep...hand on my neck

My Saturday morning project.  I painted the stand and drug the door up .

We went to Minnesota for my uncle's funeral and got to see these dear people...

Blurry picture but just to prove they look alike.

It looked pretty serious.

Ah!  These two are SO precious!  They're two weeks apart....

Jeanie with her fellow red hair beauty....

Happy Birthday to Mathias!  Four years old!

Dear Amy...it was so nice being at your house for that little 'frame' of time...even tho' it was busy and full!! I so enjoyed seeing the little 'corners' in the basement where your boys have their 'school nooks'! (Oh, yes, and I saw the day count down chain too!!) I didn't get a chance to say, but I really liked the old door idea there for the divider...and I saw the old door on the back patio too! Would have liked to be able to sit and enjoy time on the patio with you!! Also happy that you got time to make your large batch of bread, you should be okay for a few days at least!! :-) I see you got a chance to go pick those fall flowers too...and that big laundry room sink...I liked it too!! Again, so glad we got to visit just a bit, and enjoyed those 'late' night chats, even tho' I was falling asleep on ya'! You have a lovely family and home there!! ~Dena
PS Hope this doesn't sound too runon...and rambly... :-)

Happy Birthday Keagan

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Had to have his little hand on that hat! gazing in adoration at it. Just about ready to blow those candles. He kept telling me that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday though. He's easily embarrassed! Silly guy! I rather like my little three year.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness  Forgiveness has bones It has a brain It uses logic  And common sense  Forgiveness goes about Finding a common ground. It shows up in common places. It happens unsuspected. Forgiveness allows one to Name the thing that happened. Forgiveness gives one a way To see it for what it was. Forgiveness provides for the  Empty spaces in conversation  And allows one to listen  And grieve outside of one’s own experience. Forgiveness walks into a situation  And remembers. But walks with peace And knows calmness. Forgiveness has an earpiece  On the heart  And a microphone  At his mouth Saying the words that Forgiveness has given him. Forgiveness doesn’t walk with fear. Forgiveness looks alone. But He’s always always  Hand in hand with gentleness and kindness. Forgiveness can stand alone though. It doesn’t melt away or dissipate  With time. Forgiveness is that little happy wren  On your shoulder  Forgiveness sings...

Let me tell you how God answers prayer

Did I ever write on here that I am teaching school at our little church school?  I absolutely love it and find that it's been a neat way to feel useful and invest in our bubble.  But I am requiring my kids to tell stories and write them and read them.  And right now they are in a four week story writing assignment and I began to wonder what I thought I was doing requiring something of them that I am not really proficient at nor am I very knowledgable about.       So for my story to write  let me tell you a little bit about how God answers prayer.  Sometime I feel like I should write Jeanie's whole story.  But not this time.             Jeanie's been having focal seizures.  We don't know when they started.  All we know is that we were advised to go get her growing pain/ leg cramps looked into and it started the beginning of many tests of which we still aren't done with....
