Happy Birthday Matt




I love Birthdays.  I wish we celebrated them better in this house.  A birthday means we've been given another year!  It means we had 365 more days to live the moments God gave us.  Matt having a birthday means I got to be his wife for another year!  Every moment we have together is a gift from God.  I went back to find pictures of Matt and there just aren't any pictures of JUST Matt.  He is always helping one of the boys or holding Jeanie.  And that's Matt!  Sometimes I wish he'd stop checking weather or always and forever helping people  with something.  But when I look back at the pictures that's really just how it is.  He values people and digs in and puts energy out for everyone.   I am a very honored lady to be his wife!  It's good to stop and remember and be in awe again of God's gift to me.    
He takes such good care of us in every way.
 Did you know the name Matthew means God's gift? 
He is.  God's gift to me / us!

A very sweet tribute to your husband! I hope he reads it! :) And I know someone else in your family who has a birthday this week....y'all should be celebrating like crazy!

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Let me tell you how God answers prayer

      Did I ever write on here that I am teaching school at our little church school?  I absolutely love it and find that it's been a neat way to feel useful and invest in our bubble.  But I am requiring my kids to tell stories and write them and read them.  And right now they are in a four week story writing assignment and I began to wonder what I thought I was doing requiring something of them that I am not really proficient at nor am I very knowledgable about.       So for my story to write  let me tell you a little bit about how God answers prayer.  Sometime I feel like I should write Jeanie's whole story.  But not this time.             Jeanie's been having focal seizures.  We don't know when they started.  All we know is that we were advised to go get her growing pain/ leg cramps looked into and it started the beginning of many tests of which we still aren't done with....
