Trip travel days

Warning:  This post is a long long long picture post of moments from our 12 day vacation.  They are all mixed up in order and are our random moments through out.  I'm publishing them for my own benefit so carry on......
Some of our good good food at our campsite each night.
We got to be at the ground breaking of dear friend's new place  in Idaho
The big big lake in Nebraska that we think is our lake.  We've made so very many good memories there.  Lake McConaughy. We stopped here for overnight on our way home.
Our last 200 miles.  The last oreo's and coffee going down.  Mathias' smile tells how good of a trip we indeed had!
Zerrick and Jasper comparing big thoughts and what not.  At the ground breaking.
My mom's back deck area.  Probably the greenest spot in her yard.  It is so very dry out there!
A happy wonderful shelf for my sister at her little cottage.
So many big things to discus!   That was such a high light of our trip.
Traveling out took patience.
As long as there are snacks being patient isn't hard when you're 1 and 4. Which reminds me.....yesterday I was telling Mathias that tator tots taste good and that when I was a kid I thought they were a treat.  He looked at me and wrinkled his nose and asked, " So you think they're snacks?"
On our way home at Lake Ogallala

Getting ready to be on our way.
While we were there we spent lots of time at The Bread Basket Bakery.  One fine morning Sam made me a cin roll and fantastical coffee.  Pure therapy!
Ice cream break on our way out.

Discovering things at our first campsite on our way out.

At our third and best night on our way out.  The boys caught fish and loved the clear mountain stream.

More amazing  food we made!

The biggest and best fish of all the fishing times.

Cheesy fisherman!

The four fishermen one early morning.

Grandma playing for Jeanie.   These are the kind of pictures I treasure the most.

At the store one  day we got to have the benefits of buying some African baskets.  I'm using my baskets very much.

Last night of vacation.

Our last morning before we got home. We found a spot along the big lake and soak in as much water and sand as we possibly could.

Soaking up that water.  Sigh!  Take me back!

Our castle for 12 days.
And the very best sky you'll ever see!  Good ole Nebraska!

Happy Birthday Keagan

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Had to have his little hand on that hat! gazing in adoration at it. Just about ready to blow those candles. He kept telling me that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday though. He's easily embarrassed! Silly guy! I rather like my little three year.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness  Forgiveness has bones It has a brain It uses logic  And common sense  Forgiveness goes about Finding a common ground. It shows up in common places. It happens unsuspected. Forgiveness allows one to Name the thing that happened. Forgiveness gives one a way To see it for what it was. Forgiveness provides for the  Empty spaces in conversation  And allows one to listen  And grieve outside of one’s own experience. Forgiveness walks into a situation  And remembers. But walks with peace And knows calmness. Forgiveness has an earpiece  On the heart  And a microphone  At his mouth Saying the words that Forgiveness has given him. Forgiveness doesn’t walk with fear. Forgiveness looks alone. But He’s always always  Hand in hand with gentleness and kindness. Forgiveness can stand alone though. It doesn’t melt away or dissipate  With time. Forgiveness is that little happy wren  On your shoulder  Forgiveness sings...

Let me tell you how God answers prayer

Did I ever write on here that I am teaching school at our little church school?  I absolutely love it and find that it's been a neat way to feel useful and invest in our bubble.  But I am requiring my kids to tell stories and write them and read them.  And right now they are in a four week story writing assignment and I began to wonder what I thought I was doing requiring something of them that I am not really proficient at nor am I very knowledgable about.       So for my story to write  let me tell you a little bit about how God answers prayer.  Sometime I feel like I should write Jeanie's whole story.  But not this time.             Jeanie's been having focal seizures.  We don't know when they started.  All we know is that we were advised to go get her growing pain/ leg cramps looked into and it started the beginning of many tests of which we still aren't done with....
