My two nieces turned moms and wives...

We were honored to have these two couples at our house last evening for three kinds of pizza and rook and talk and laughs and chats and lots of baby cries. I had lots of fun with Lisl and Jenny yesterday. They went to town with me and I just loved the chatter with them. Then they came to my messy house an hour later and helped me make pizza and salads. Our Pizza was fantastic if I do say so myself! Matt was chef of the grilled one. Jenny taught me how to do her famous Pizza Rolls. And we made one normal oven pizza. The kids LOVED Jube and of course Gwen. (They think they own Jenny and Gwen). I loved watching all of them playing together. Then today we all went to my little dirty lake I found. It was hot and dirty and refreshing. How ever that can be! But we all got sun kissed and felt so good to have water and sun to play in. And most of all I think it's great fun to have my nieces catching up to my spot in life. They're both doing a excellent job of mo...

On my mind...

James 3 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. {sensual: or, natural} 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. {confusion: Gr. tumult, or, unquietness} 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. {partiality: or, wrangling} 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. (KJV) hese verses show the difference between men's pretending to be wise, and their being really so. He who thinks well, or he who talks well, is not wise in the sense of the Scripture, if he does not live and act well. True wisdom may be known by the meekness of the spirit and temper. Those who live in malice, envy, and contention, live in confusion; and are liable to be provoked and ...

Encouragement of my week:

Here's a short paragraph from my Sunday School lesson on Sunday that was written just for me this week: "God's power begins when man's power is finished. The sinner who wants to have the righteousness of God revealed in his life, must realize that he cannot save himself. He must die to himself and let the power of God work in his life. Righteousness cannot be obtained through struggle(works) but through surrender to the Lord Jesus." So in shoe leather for me, this applies to how I run my life...how I train my boys....how I be a wife.... So much of the time I find myself feeling and thinking how I'm not winning. About how will my boys ever turn out? How will I ever catch up on my house and home? But my struggle for perfection and power and getting it ALL done and done good and right is to no avail when I'm struggling or doing works in that frame of mind. "God's Power begins when man's power is finished!" I so needed t...

Happy Birthday Zerrick!!!!

My oldest boy turned seven today! He's beyond excited. He has some friends coming over to play for a couple hours and then tonight we get to hang out with the Burkey Clan and other cousins. He's ordered a baseball scene for his cake. His birthday gift is hidden away till Dad comes home from work. Life is just full of possibilities for him today. He just doesn't realize. I thank God for my seven year old .

Baking today

This day feels overwhelming.....so much to do and so little time till I'm wore out and the kids can't stand another minute and my house falls down around my ears. So I'm whining on here....hoping someone takes time to lift me up in prayer!!! Or else come do my dishes and give me uplifting things to think on! So here goes....Hot rolls to eat in four hours. Bring your own coffee.

Scrap booking Today...

I am determined this summer isn't going to fly by without doing some fun things. So yesterday we went out and spent over an hour under the sun and sprinkler. The kids were quite tired last night at bedtime. They played HARD. So today....the fun thing is going to be scrapbooking. Any and all of my friends and relations are invited over to this little piglets house to join in the fun. It's another rainy day and the grass and garden are WAY out of control but with the ground so spongy with all the recent rains we can't face the music anyhow. So scrap books and pictures and memories here I come! See you all here!

So my two year old....

Decided today that he's not going to wear a diaper. He wants big boy panties on....so after his first big mistake he stood and pondered the puddle and wet legs and wet floor. And then he says, " those panties have holes in them." I wish you could hear his accent! It was rather funny! Except I didn't laugh because I was busy trying to explain to him the seriousness of the situation. He's dry for now....wonder how many of his panties have holes in them.....
