We're ready now...

Today was a day of successfulness.  The first order of business was a Dr. appt. I am 37 weeks and some days and ready for this baby to come.  The Dr. says so too.  So I'm praying for a Sat delivery from this big belly!  You can all pray with me... the Dr. is leaving for a conference on Tues and won't be back till Sunday of next week.  I REALLY want to have this baby either before or after.  So that's why I'm praying.  God's timing is right.  So I'm not stressing but as I'm so near to 1/2 way through labor it seems that sooner would be better.      And among the other successes today....Jenna came to clean again today and we got through the basement.  You should SEE the pile of junk ready to haul up and out of my basement....it's going to take man power and a dump trailer so that's why it's still down there.  But it's in the furnace room ready to haul up and out! So I found my basement once again....

Potty Training!!!

So we were tucking the boys in and I asked K if he needed to go potty one more time before bed.  He informed me he had taken care of that "already".  But then Z decided to go....so then K needed to too. REALLY BAD!  So they're in there pushing each other out of the way.   So father dear goes in and settles the matter.  In a tiny little bit  K comes strutting back in with his shorts hitched up to his belly button and all cocky and his chest puffed out....and he says in perfect sincerity, " I goed".  Totally thrilled.  He won the battle over who was first and he got himself all put together and he was good to go!  He's finding less and less pairs with "holes in dem".   So glad.

Beautiful Fall...

I'm so hungry for warm apple desserts with high quality vanilla ice cream. I'm loving the crisp fall air. The sunsets are beautiful. The fun times at the pond with the family have been special. Now we're going to be getting in some field picnics with harvest starting. Although, it'll probably just be the boys going out with Grandma now and then but that's okay. Ever notice how one can have such good times through one's own child? I find I don't need to be at all the events but when he comes home and tells me all that he did or saw I can almost see it through his eyes and it's pure joy. I am well into my 36th week now. And the doc tells me that I'm good to go. I don't need to be careful about anything and I can hopefully have this baby without any drama! I know the name Amy and drama seem to go together too often but THIS time maybe??? :) Today I finished packing. I even got a weird feeling that I should be prepared for a girl and...

Mix in dry ingredients. Mix in choc chips. Bake at 350 * for 10 minutes or so..... I really don't know why they turned out so good this time. But there you go....

Today's Accomplishments

I got all the little things washed and smelling clean today. Now I just need to get the crib up and the swing and bouncer all cleaned up and ready. After that I will be ready for this baby. Except for packing our own bags....I'll do that some time soon. I have an appointment with the dr. next week on Thursday and I'll be 36 weeks. That means I can be okay with this baby arriving anytime after that. Until then we will keep holding our breath and pray he stays safe and "snug" (which he really is) inside his cacoon. And I got the baby album started. I tried to choose colors that could be boy or girl and ended up with a more girl look. So IF this baby turns out to be a girl I'll just change the title stickers.... Zerrick wanted a snack of chocolate chip cookies today. So he made these. Yes he did! He's a pretty good huh? They are absolutely delicious! They're by far better than what gets sent to market each week...we all ate on them like we hadn...

Labor Day....

And we're enjoying a day off from school. Matt took the boys over to the pond to see Lances big early morning catch and now we just finished breakfast. The rest of the day is a day for just catching up around here and then fishing and picnic at the pond tonight again. The boys are very happy to be hanging out with Dad. And I'm glad they're having fun. I'm going to do a little running to town and then I get to just provide cold drinks and kisses to my hard working boys the rest of the day! Somewhere in there I think nap sounds like bliss too. This baby in me is doing the same things his brothers did. Causing me to be tired and sore and brain dead. So it's not that I dont' have more to do today....but it's just that I don't have the wherewithall to do anything. I'm just getting to 35 wks. Last week I found out I have a pretty nice case of group b which could cause my amniotic sac to weaken. I've been told to be very good now for two m...

First Day of School

I am so happy to be sending my favorite big boy to school this year. Everyone wanted to know if I cried when I dropped him off. Well I most definitely didn't. He was so ready for that interaction and someone else to give him incentive. He's soaking it up. I'm loving it. And the whole group.... Two teachers and 19 students.... a whole group of kids who don't even know how nice they have it! :) This look on his face is saying okay mom hurry....there are too many people and noise and I need to see it all.
