Update of Mathias

Matt was working on shushing him... I chose this picture so everyone could see how fat he's getting and this one to show how indignant he gets.... And this picture is to show how smart he is already! See, he's holding up four fingers to show that he'll be four weeks old next week! Already! And next week I'm going to get back to normal posting. Maybe.

Visitors

Look what came to see us yesterday! Our dear golden retriever had this thing treed right outside our back garage door. Matt took care of it with his little black gun and the dog won't touch it now. Are groundhogs in the same category as moles? He won't eat the moles he chases up either. This lady isn't a visitor really. But she's been sleeping at our house for the last week and being my wonderful helper. We haven't got alot of house work done as in deep cleaning but I sure needed the encouragement of another soul in the house....Baby blues haven't overtaken as badly thanks to her! We've been sewing and laundry and just doing our days. It's been quite nice having her here. Thanks Frances. Tonight we're going to the pond for a picnic and then hopefully tomorrow we'll go to Seward and walk the main street and do the thrift stores and antique shops. And then I have to give her up. Here is our newest precious. My boys are in love with h...

For Mom.

I thought maybe you'd enjoy seeing us all together as a family of five. We're tired and look silly and we're not even looking at the camera....

We think he's special....

This was our first evening at home. Zerrick and Keagan were so thrilled to each hold him after all of them had nice baths. Day 3. Sweet and sleepy and he's ours! Day 2. Great Grandpa Lloyal came to see us right before we went home from the hospital. He took time to visit with us, tell us some of his life stories, and then right before he left he had a special prayer of blessing for our little Mathias. That's what being cared for really means! We are blessed.

Our Baby

Mathias Jaymes 7 LB 8 OZ. 20.5"

Last Post today!!!

So I'm really close to 39 weeks!  Amazing!  God has been good. The babies heartbeat is good and starting to slow down like it does right before labor!  Yes Yes Yes!   Soon and very soon!     I just have to share what my dear 7 year old  shared with me this morning.  He was asking if God could make the earth all water again and then recreate it like he did before.  I was saying, "Ya God could do that.  But I'd hate to be the Noah part of it."   So he's like, "Ya,"  Then he pondered and looked at me for a little and he said, " Ya you'd be more the ark of it."  !!!!!   So ya maybe it's time for a 20 lb loss in the next week??? :)  I laughed till my tummy hurt!  I  needed a laugh today!

Chicken Ole' Recipe

4 C. cooked diced chicken 1 pkg. taco seasoning 1 1/2 C. grated cheddar cheese...I used colby 12 tortillas cut up 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup....I omitted this 1 C. sour cream....I did two cups small onion chopped fine Mix all together.  Save some of the cheese for the top.  Bake @ 350 for 1 hr.  Makes a 9x13 pan. Next time if I had the time I would make a white flour sauce with my leftover chicken broth rather than use cream of chicken soup.  Also I don't think I used that many tortilla's.  I'd rather have the meat to make up more of the bulk of the recipe.   And this recipe is delicious.  We had a small taste of it for supper that evening and it was a hit.  Enjoy!
