And my Eldest Valentine

When I was looking for pictures for this post I found alot  of my pictures of Zerrick are of him being a big brother. And he's a good big brother.  He watches over them outside in their play and he agonizes over them when they are all in turmoils of some sort.  But don't misunderstand me....He's pretty typical in all the other character traits of 8 year old boys. Here he's showing Mathias how fun gifts at Christmas are.... Mathias is listening to his big brothers's admonition. These are the four oldest Burkey grandkids.  He's been getting a kick out of talking with Amanda at family get togethers about books they've read.....kind of fun to listen in sometimes.... The typical 8 year old look....big and small and no teeth look and still the happy little boy eyes.  I do like that alot.  He was trying to sing Mathias to sleep. It almost worked. And that ends my Valentine Posts of my boys.....

Another of my Valentines

This is King Keagan Michael Burkey Here he is again.  Notice he always has that blanket ?  He's so thin and always cold when it's meal time.   He got it on all by himself and feeling pretty smart! The boys got these lincoln logs for Christmas.  Keagan spends the most time with them and won't let me help....he wants to show me he can do it himself.  And he does a good job. After watching Zerrick build exotic things he has to do it too...and again, he does a pretty good job independently.   On any game on here he knows just how it should be done.  If only dad would let him push the buttons every time! Remember a year or so ago how sick Keagan was because of the mold in our house?  Looking back has given me courage.  He's so much healthier.  This winter Zerrick has been the one to be on antibiotics over and over.  And Keagan hasn't gotten sick! I'm so happy! He's a healthy smart little 4 year ...

My Valentine

He loves to give little bunny "oh dears".  Very precious. I found him up here playing with matches.  Still precious.  Just naughty added on.... A nice safe place to play .... A very very warm day in mid January.

My Happy Birthday Post :

Now that I have reached the mature age of 35 I should be entitled to writing a post for my very own birthday not?  I thought so too.  Why not do something for my very own benefit anyhow?    My days are days of just me and my thoughts rolling around in my head.  And I do really feel bad for the unfortunate soul who does happen to cross my path and have to take the whole load.  So for the reason of not dumping the whole load on that one unfortunate soul.....I will gleefully dump on my own blog for my very own benefit on my very own birthday day!  It's my gift to me!  (For those of you who don't have the need to talk and "get it out" so to speak, just never mind)!:)   Go to the next blog or something.    So here I am...and so many things to think about. ~First up is friendships.  And relationships.  To me they are so very important.  And then on the other hand I get so burned out with them.  And there are so many...

Happy Birthday to The Best Man

These two guys love rides on Dad's legs.  They weigh  only about ten  lbs different.   Mathias loves the outside and footballs.  One cold morning he was sure Dad needed to take him out side with him.  The boys wanted to make a big party for Matt this year.  And so we had fun doing this. When Matt got home they had the lights all off and jumped out and yelled surprise and the whole works. After  he came in they actually got all shy and special about it and got a little quiet. But the rest of the evening they absolutely thought was magical.   They were big eyed and bushy tailed till 10:30pm. Matt's birthday is actually today but we celebrated last evening because we're supposingly getting snow tonight....Which will make me a snow widow again.  tears and weeping going on........      After we get done with this snow stuff we will be headed right into home shows.  After that he'll be so l...

New Post

It's probably a bad time to write a new post.  I'm not exactly well rested and in charming spirits.  But I've sat down here a number of times to post and have had to give up because life was calling.  Matt has the two big boys with him this morning and Mathias is toddling and destroying happily.  So this is my chance.  I'm going to go sew myself a new dress in a little bit.  But not yet.     Do you love your life?  What a weird question huh?  I'm almost 35.  And I wonder if I love my life.  Kind of like the people who survived the world trade center thing..... a lot of them dropped their big career ambitions and decided to "go for it"....it being the thing they really loved.  Rather than the thing that was getting them up the ladder in their career.  So I've not survived the world trade center but I wonder if I'm doing what I love.  Is 35 old enough for a mid life crisis?  Just wondered...

Projects:

Having lots of fun during Christmas Vacation painting. Keagan loved mixing colors and getting his hands right in it.   One day it was nice and peaceful and quiet in the house.  This was why.   They sat up office in their bedroom....they've been checking emails and filing things and paying bills.  Someday soon they can take over for me! :)  A fort they built last night.  This was Keagan's school project this morning.  I drew and cut out the shapes and we glued some of the pieces together but used the little gold clasp thingys for the ears and legs and tails. So he can wag it's tail or legs or ears.  Keagan says his puppies name is Goaly.  We're pretty thrilled with ourselves for making this thing free handed...just looked at a little pic and made it up from there.  Quite a fun project. And I think it's almost cuter than a real puppy. Nobody gets chewed on or jumped on and we can make it bark...
