Mondays Inspirations.

My stomach has an off day today.  My house is having one too.   So I stepped outside my door and whatdya know but I have a few brave mint tea leaves poking through!  I have them brewing now in my old Valentine's cup from three Valentine's ago.   And the sun is hot on my washed out winter body, where I'm sitting on my front steps. The boys are out soaking up the sun too.  Tomorrow isn't going to be so nice out. Today is out moment.      This morning I finally sat down and looked through my bh&g magazine.  I found a fifteen minute workout for inspiration.  And I found my dream bedroom.  I took a picture to remind me.  One day I will create it.      I spent most of my morning digging for my kitchen.  My kind man bought me a brand new fridge on Saturday.  We now have ice again.  And of course it's clean under and behind the fridge.  So I needed to make all my kitchen matc...

Winter Cabin Fever Issues

This winter has actually been a very good winter.  Just to make sure I clarify that after such a depressing title.  We've had minimal sickness.  And the darkness and tired have been mostly manageable.  I feel very privileged and thankful.      But even so.  The thoughts that go through my head in a winter day are real.  And I suppose my head gets Cabin Fever Issues because of these months of school and every day all day being the same.   I don't go out much.  I don't see many people.  It's just me and my four kids.  Sometimes it's too many people.  Sometimes it's not enough.  It's cabin fever.        ~I suppose the top of my pondering is the elections.  I find myself awake at night rolling it over in my head.  And then I get deep conviction type feelings that we need to PRAY like we've never prayed before.  I usually stop the wandering of my imaginations...

Thankful

This morning I worked on digging for my seamstress side.  I organized all things sewing in this house into one spot and pretended like I was a Proverbs 31 woman.  Now if I would just close out the rest of the house hold duties maybe I'd enjoy this?/

Thankful

My favorite chai and a Jan Karon book, New coloring supplies, and finding weird selfies on my phone.  I have a good life.

My Study Partner

She's drinking my coffee and poking around while I try to focus on my lesson for tomorrow.

Birthday Week and Monday

This is the week of our birthdays.  Matt and I turn 39 this week.  He on Wednesday.  Me on Sunday.  The kids and I had a fun weekend planned for Kansas City and a time away to hang out together and relax and celebrate.  But now we hear we are in a Blizzard watch so that means there will be a little snow at least and Matt will be out most the week keeping town lots clean.  So we're putting celebrating on hold.  But I am still celebrating quietly inside.      Here's why: He and I have had four beautiful children together.  He loves them very much.  He's the reason for  their good looks.  He's got  a weird sense of humor that makes me cackle at the wrong time and in the wrong places......when I suddenly realize what he really meant.  He has a soft heart.  He's loyal.  He's honest.       His most admirable trait is also one of the hardest traits to love..... He wil...
