Summer

Summer time means mud fights.  These two against Zerrick and Jeanie.   Our friends from Muddy Pond spent a total of three nights and two days here.  It was so lovely. B blessing and giving encouragement from her own story of redemption.  She's a beautiful soul!   An intent listener.... Micheal!    He's actually got the widest grin and He's CU Ute!!!!  J with Landon.  She wasn't too keen on sharing.  He's pretty sure everyone loves him and is willing to share....totally missed the hints she kept dropping. Hammock under the big trees.  Summer time means iced coffee.... Jeanie and I on our own one Saturday.  She's my best shopper.  She totally gets the whole shopping thing.  A moment to remember our great big God.   Some of our favorite babies...... She totally cuddles just right..... All forty nine eleven...

Suddenly Summer and Schools Out!

We hit a few garage sales yesterday and found some cool buys.  Mathias and I were both so pleased with this chess case and game.   I found a comforter that matched Jeanie's room perfectly.  She loves her big bed and huge pile of pillows!  Combed out her hair and had to have another picture of that hair!  This is a lovely tree that stands alone along the road.  Trees are more beautiful to me than they've ever been.  Nebraska plains make one see  trees in a different light.  Zerrick has had enough adventures now with needle and thread.  And bandages.  So on school picnic ball game he got hit with the ball and had to have two layers of stitches put in.  The following Wednesday we were scheduled to get the screws out from his break last October.  So till the week was done I had a stitched up limping boy.  As of this morning the Friday night head stitches are out and he's working on cleaning up ...

Last Weeks Crazy

A week ago I spent Saturday down at the little steeple church a mile from here.  Jenny Miller from Colorado shared her story with about 40 women from around here and then also shared a session on joy and what steals joy and what gives joy.  It was totally a gift kind of day.   But by Sunday things had gotten a bit crazy here.  Matt was away most of the day helping his hispanic workers settle in and ect.  So roofing season officially has begun.  The rest of Sunday was just trying to breathe and figure out schedules for the rest of the week.  So Monday we caught up a little around here and shopped and ran errands.  Tuesday we had two sets of company in one evening.  And Wednesday till Saturday monring we had overnight guests.  And by Friday one kid down with fever.  Not bad I say.  Yesterday we relaxed a little and then installed a new washer and did yard work and went to bed with a clean house even.  So anyhow....

Winter and Idaho and Laundry

Winter goes on forever.  Today we're having an April blizzard.  I snickered and snorted at the weather forecasters and even my own weather forecaster husband.  But when the electricity tries to go off and I'm still working on my endless mountain of laundry and it's a non school day and I'm determined that I only have to do regular things and I promise myself I WILL get laundry done....well then the electric MUST not go off.  And I'm not snickering and snorting anymore. I'm holding my tongue just right..... Sometimes you take selfies for the fun of it because it was just a fun little moment in the kitchen.   Especially this weird special moment.... They were being silly obviously. A Day out with just Jeanie and Keagan.   He picked Valentinos and the cookie shop.... She's a gift to me.  As the boys get bigger, I realize I'm the outnumbered one. I'm treasuring her drama and all the girl stuff.  Finally I have ...
