Sensitive Conscience

I've been thinking about the people who fight a sensitive conscience.
I don't believe living with a sensitive conscience is a life lived in victory.
I do really actually believe that living with a sensitive conscience is indeed a fight.

There is a verse in Romans.
It says....    Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
There it is!  God makes us acceptable of His love  While we were YET sinners!   THAT  is when Christ died for us!

Not when we had all our past issues straightened out.
Not after we did everything right in every situation.
Not when we said the right thing every time.
Not when we had the perfect attitude every time.

And it certainly is not going to win any one salvation by making sure we followed all the rules to the letter.  The Pharisees tried that .   The weren't the most happiest or victorious people on the planet if you'll remember....

2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

.  There is a difference between godly sorrow and carnal sorrow.   And  being over sensitive with ones conscience does not bring about godly sorrow that leads to salvation. but rather the sorrow of the world that worketh death!    That's pretty awful really!

I conclude that God's spirit working in you as you live in a life giving relationship with Him is Faithful.  HE will show you.  And God's spirit is life and joy and NOT fearful.  God has not given us the spirit of fear but of POWER and LOVE and a SOUND MIND!  That's a big chunk of mercy and grace to feed from for a while!     LIVE the moments God has given without fear and trust God that HE loves you and died for you While you were STILL sicky dirty wrong.  From there we don't look back....It's all forward!  READ your Bible and  starve out the sin nature by filling yourself full of what God has to say there.   .

(I personally haven't struggled with over sensitive conscience since I was about 12 years old.  I wish I could remember who or what helped me get out of that mud puddle.  But these are victorious verses that I have grown into . I'm still growing.  And Satan wants to win this battle so there is always battle going on.    I wish for those fighting this could find this joy too.)

Thank you for writing this. I remember being in that "mud puddle" too. I am so grateful for the love of God. He pulled me out and set my feet on a rock.

In My Worship Place

Last time I posted I mentioned being in a quiet spot.      It's curious to me how one can be in a quiet spot internally but super busy externally and then be in a quiet season externally but Internally be in a season of seeking and crying and lonely.      Zerrick and Susanna's reception in our yard is over and my many siblings showing up for us was a cherry on top.   It felt like a relaxed good reception and I spent most of it watching people and listening in on little groups of chatter.      And then the twelve hours with my siblings on Saturday.  God worked it out so I could have tiny little snitches of chat that I could be assured that I got the most of the gift of them even being here.        We all stood around and prayed and cried and sobbed together for a short time before Bruce's left.  Healing.  I still feel emotional about it.  And now it's qu...

A few things...

Okay, I have a whole pile of pictures I'm going to post one of these days. In the mean time....a few more questions to add to my last post.... 1. What do people mean when they say things like, " He/she spoke peace/ blessing/ love/truth or whatever into my heart? How does one get truth spoke into ones heart by another person? Okay, now I expect to hear someone defend themselves for saying this or else clarify to me why it sounds so off the wall......no reading this w/out some input! 2. What else? I was asking about what does it mean to have deeper relationship w/ God. So everyone said ya that's a good thing to desire. Here's my thought. You either have a relationship w/ God or you don't. So then who decides if it's a deeper relationship than....see how can you know? Can you compare? That won't work because God doesn't work like that....putting us on brackets of who is most spiritual. The only way you can use the term in having a deeper relationship w/ Go...

Happy Birthday Keagan

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Had to have his little hand on that hat! gazing in adoration at it. Just about ready to blow those candles. He kept telling me that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday though. He's easily embarrassed! Silly guy! I rather like my little three year.
