Life is Hard

Looking @ a book....life is still good  But I am quite FAT...so maybe I should do some push ups....  ummph...this is HARD.....  Stop taking pictures of this mom....I'll bet you couldn't do it....  okay, I think I'm doing pretty good on these now.... One more time....THEN I'm gonna quit...... He's been doing these hilarious push up/ lurches forward / swinging on his knees thing.  And he's so fat, it just makes me laugh.  He'll be crawling soon I'm sure.

Mixers and Bread and a Husband...(All Good)

I guess my picture doesn't really tell how special this is. So I shall tell you. Last evening we took a jaunt up to Columbus, NE to purchase a 20 quart commercial mixer. I have been wanting one since I sold my other one to my aunt Barb about 15 years ago or so. My bosch mixers have served me well and I am very glad that they withstood all the bakery/farmers market days. But I'm REALLY thrilled that my husband was kind enough to buy this bigger one for me for baking for market now. I'm pretty sure I can mix up 4 batches of cinnamon rolls in one mix up. And the time it will save me!!! This will be wonderful! So this morning I went down to the kitchen and mixed up 3 batches of bread in no time. Let it raise. Put it in the pans and baked it all and I think I had about 12 loaves of bread with in two hours. And I was able to do all kinds of other things in between. AND the best part? The bread turned out absolutely beautiful...and Keagan and I had delicious fresh bread for lunch...

Fabulous Chocolate Pudding

I made this recipe today for my boys.  It's gone already.  No leftovers here.  It was absolutely amazing...if you like pudding.     http://joyofbaking.com/ChocolatePudding.html     If you ever try it let me know what  you think.....    I'd like to use it for a chocolate cream pie sometime.

Voices....

I have been thinking about so many voices.....Do you know what I'm talking about?  There are people yammering away all the time all over the earth.  Talk Talk Talk.....   I think it's our day and age.   Was there so much communications available 30 years ago?  Back then there wasn't fb and blog spot and xanga and cell phones were just in the works.  Email is new.  We live in a time where instant gratification is the norm.  And I should be happy.  I love feedback.  I like words.  I like talk talk talk.  But I wonder.  Are all these talk/ voices/ communication all good?  I don't doubt that we can be a great edification to each other and make this stuff work good for us.  I'm sure that's what the verse in the Bible is advising us when it says we are to edify....at least this could be part of it.  So I can look at this like here is my opportunity to edify  even more than back when snail mail ...

Pictures

Before I said one time that I was going to post some pictures of the boys' room when I got it done.  Well here are some pictures but I was too lazy to change the lense so this is all I have.  Painted brown and tan. closet painted brown The mold that was in the closet is now GONE.  Very  happy about that.  Proof of it being gone is that my Keagan is MUCH healthier.  He's still sensitive to allergens of some sort but I think possibly he could grow out of these if we keep being careful and keep him out of too much of those kinds of places.  And then I said I was going to show you one of my fun et-cetra finds..... I took the other toy box down to the basement and I'm trying to keep only as many toys upstairs that fit in this little treasure.    The rest of the pictures were of some of our evenings at home.  Grandpa's came over one evening.  And another evening we got to watch Gwen.  I was trying to get a picture of Mathias ...

Let it be known...

Today I was painting my hallway.  Keagan was helping me and entertaining me.  We were talking and I said something about "Let it be known" that something was something or other.  His thoughts on that were..."Why can't it be "Let it be yesses"?   I have to wonder if the three year old gets tired of all the noes.  I'll have to teach him about homonyms later.  But I wonder to?  Why not more yesses?  How about more thankfulness...more looking on the bright side...more choosing joy?  At the reunion last summer Bruce's family sang Yes Lord Yes...  To Your way and to Your will.....   Surrender....  So that was my little spot of inspiration for the day.

Thoughts

I talked to a good friend on the phone the other day and she lifted my spirits.  We were talking about love.  And the freedom we allow our love ones to have.....freedom to succeed or freedom to fail.  But no matter what, we love anyhow...we forgive...and we go on.  Because isn't that what Christ has done for us?  And our human relationships are bound to have something in them that we must forgive.   I want to be the person that is merciful and forgiving....because I want the same mercy extended to me.   I thank God for my loved ones. And I hope you all succeed!
