Things

People all over are writing these articles about 10 things  you need to know for...Or 7 unheard facts about something.   One I read yesterday was someting about 10 habits of an organized person.  I've been in a twist ever since. I find it rather annoying to myself that I am not organized.  And then I read this article and confirmed it. I badly want to defend myself.  I would like to write an article called 10 characteristics of a controlling person.  But that's reacting.
In defense of us non organizers......  I say that we are more flexible.  We are more relational.  And we can give and take easier. And the stories not all told.  We might actually get that organization thing down yet.  As long as there is life there's hope right?
I do indeed organize at times though.  And this week I've been working on cleaning.  Corners.  Feels so good.  I dream of a clean quiet house.  They tell me some day I'll sit and want these noisy messy days back.  I just don't know if thats true.  Life is noisy and messy.  If I don't have that I may not have life.  But noise and mess don't have to be in my house!  Right now the basement is all torn apart so I feel the noise and mess much more!
And to Janine.  I wish I had some great inspiration for this basement project.  I have goals.  But not too much inspiration, sadly.  My goals though.  I have grand intentions to paint those new rooms in colors I can live with for a while.  Mostly grey with some red and black accent.  And I'm hoping to pick a gray that is ageless, so that when they boys are done with their red and black colors I can still use the grey for MY choices of color and decor.
And when we finally get them moved down, I will have gone through all the stuff down there and hopefully have it so cleared out that I will not be forever ORGANIZING my stuff!  I am so very very sick of stuff!!!!  If I have stuff, I just have to dust and clean and ORGANIZE!  If I don't have STUFFFFF  I can actually have time to enjoy the things of life that have meaning.  :)
So. Happy spring cleaning to everyone and Enjoy your Things and your Organization and control!    I'm going to just do the cleaning part and be done with it.     But I'll be happy, and flexible and relational!   HaHa!

I have to totally admire the flexibility in people who are less organized. God is slowly teaching me to be flexible. Or rather, I'm slowly learning. And oh! the stuff! how I love to purge! Wishing you spring ASAP! :)

In My Worship Place

Last time I posted I mentioned being in a quiet spot.      It's curious to me how one can be in a quiet spot internally but super busy externally and then be in a quiet season externally but Internally be in a season of seeking and crying and lonely.      Zerrick and Susanna's reception in our yard is over and my many siblings showing up for us was a cherry on top.   It felt like a relaxed good reception and I spent most of it watching people and listening in on little groups of chatter.      And then the twelve hours with my siblings on Saturday.  God worked it out so I could have tiny little snitches of chat that I could be assured that I got the most of the gift of them even being here.        We all stood around and prayed and cried and sobbed together for a short time before Bruce's left.  Healing.  I still feel emotional about it.  And now it's qu...

A few things...

Okay, I have a whole pile of pictures I'm going to post one of these days. In the mean time....a few more questions to add to my last post.... 1. What do people mean when they say things like, " He/she spoke peace/ blessing/ love/truth or whatever into my heart? How does one get truth spoke into ones heart by another person? Okay, now I expect to hear someone defend themselves for saying this or else clarify to me why it sounds so off the wall......no reading this w/out some input! 2. What else? I was asking about what does it mean to have deeper relationship w/ God. So everyone said ya that's a good thing to desire. Here's my thought. You either have a relationship w/ God or you don't. So then who decides if it's a deeper relationship than....see how can you know? Can you compare? That won't work because God doesn't work like that....putting us on brackets of who is most spiritual. The only way you can use the term in having a deeper relationship w/ Go...

Happy Birthday Keagan

Keagan turned three while we were in Idaho. So we made a cake and celebrated with the Skrivseth cousins this year. He was enthralled watching me make the cake. Had to have his little hand on that hat! gazing in adoration at it. Just about ready to blow those candles. He kept telling me that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday though. He's easily embarrassed! Silly guy! I rather like my little three year.
